Multimedia Director Julie Ellerton asks the community how they plan to spoil themselves this Thanksgiving holiday.
“I like to indulge for Christmas. So the day after Thanksgiving, after my team [the Detroit Lions] wins their football game … we get to start in on Christmas. We’ll go and pick out a Christmas tree, then come the trimmings. Everything starts immediately.”
“I’ll indulge in my family. My two girls Heather and Lauren just came back from college. I’m going to try and spend as much time as I can with them because I miss them, as well as spend time with my other daughters, Hailey and Charlotte, and wife June. We’ll indulge in a variety of good vegan food.”
“I indulge by telling people’s stories on Thanksgiving. I work all day [videography at CBS television]. I love working on Thanksgiving because I have no idea what’s going to happen. I could spend the day with LAPD, firefighters at the station making turkey dinner with their families. We look for heartwarming stories and put it on TV. It really makes people happy, that feels fantastic.”
“Spending time with my family and all the food that we share together. Also my dog is there, I just love him. I’ll bake a lasagna [too].”
“Yams, turkey and mashed potatoes. My mom makes the best!”
