Harry Ufland will give the first lecture in the 2015 Malibu Library Speaker Series on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
Ufland has had a storied career in the movie business. He began his career as an agent at the William Morris Agency in New York and eventually founded his own production company, Ufland Productions. When he was an agent, Ufland represented many of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, Jodie Foster, Martin Sheen, Cher and others.
Ufland has recently become a tenured professor at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Media Arts, while continuing to produce.
The series, supported by funding set aside for the County of Los Angeles, the City of Malibu and the Malibu Library, will host Ufland at the Malibu Library, located at 23519 Civic Center Way.
