The City of Malibu hosted an Earth Day Eco-Fair on Saturday, April 18, at Malibu City Hall. The City celebrated the 45th anniversary of Earth Day with booths and information for ocean lovers who want to help the environment. Among the booths, there was a place to donate wet suits and polystyrene packing material to be recycled into new surfing material. There was also a booth on hand to collect old oil and paint, as well as electronic waste. Festivities for the day included giveaways, a raffle prize and a plethora of information for how to help.

Attendees had a chance to meet the City’s Clean Water Team, Southern California water providers, the Malibu Chamber of Commerce, Poison-Free Malibu, Heal the Bay, Sustainable Surf and more. For information for upcoming recycling day and other City of Malibu events, visit malibucity.org.
