A small fire broke out near Topanga Canyon Blvd. before 5 p.m. on Monday afternoon after a vehicle drove over the side of the road, according to Sgt. Loughridge with the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station.
The fire was contained shortly after reported, and was “very small,” said Loughridge.
“Less than a quarter acre [was burned],” said Loughridge. “The fire department was up there and they actually already extinguished it.”

Los Angeles County Fire Department Air Operations was seen flying above the area, with additional response from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station and California Highway Patrol .
