Our Lady of Malibu School students await an autograph from musician/songwriter Hunter Hayes after a Q&A and live performance on Friday.

As part of the MGF (Malibu Guitar Festival) commitment to the Malibu community, musicians Laurence Juber, Hunter  Hayes and Wrenn paid a visit to local schools  —  Juan Cabrillo, Our Lady of Malibu and Webster.

Students had the opportunity to listen to stories about the artists  —  their childhood, inspirations and experiences as musicians.

“I’m excited for you to see our love of music today,” Hayes shared with the OLM students. “I found a guitar when I was 6 years old. For me, the guitar is one of my best friends. When I was in middle and high school, honestly, I was a dork. Still am. I’m a total nerd, a music nerd, always will be and I want to be.”

The artists performed both solo and together throughout the Q&A.
