Barefoot Malibu Runner Conquers 137th Marathon

Malibu’s Alberto “Barefoot” Perusset last week completed the LA Marathon barefoot for the 14th time. The 26.2 mile course was Perusset’s 98th barefoot marathon and his 137th overall. He completed the race in six hours and six mintues, running from Dodger Stadium in Echo Park to Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica.

Perusset said his 100th barefoot marathon will take place on May 21 at the Great Wall Marathon in China.
