As longtime residents of Malibu, we have always felt it our civic responsibility to involve ourselves in local issues, be it the schools, parks, environment and neighborhood association.
It is therefore disturbing that our objection to a neighbor’s efforts to avoid complying with a Planning Commission condition regarding landscaping has prompted an anonymous threatening letter to be placed in our mailbox.
In addition to it being a most cowardly act, it raises the question of what special interests or egos are involved.
