Malibu resident Tracey Birdsall won the 2014 Maverick Award from the 10th annual Action On Film (AOF) International Film Festival. The award was presented at the AOF Black Tie Dinner and Award Show, which took place at the Pasadena Hilton Grand Ballroom on Aug. 30.
Winners are named for the ability to continue to work in the world of entertainment, despite challenging conditions that come along with it. Birdsall is most known for her work in independent film, including “Dawn of the Crescent Moon.”
Previous winners of the Maverick Award include Talia Shire and Michael Madsen.
