Cooler temperatures have arrived along the coast in Malibu, with an anticipated high around 75 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Patchy morning fog is expected throughout the weekend and low temperatures will stay around 60 degrees, with light winds at 5 MPH.
On Saturday, more than 200 veterans and supporters with Ride 2 Recovery will stop at Sycamore Canyon Beach at 10:45 a.m. on part of their 450-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
Malibu United Methodist Church hosts the 25th Anniversary Malibu Pie Festival, with live entertainment, a pie eating contest, and arts and crafts from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m on Oct. 11.
The Malibu Film Society opens its sixth season on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. with a book signing by Carl Reiner, followed by a screening hosted by Dick Van Dyke.
