Mandatory evacuations are now in effect at Sweetwater Canyon, Carbon Canyon, Carbon Mesa, Las Flores Canyon, Rambla Pacifico, Lower Topanga Canyon, and the top of Piuma Road at Schueren Road.
Pacific Coast Highway is closed between Big Rock and Webb Way; Malibu Canyon is closed between Piuma Road and Civic Center Way; Schueren Road south is closed; Saddlepeak Road at Stunt Road is closed; Tuna Canyon between PCH and Saddlepeak is closed; Piuma Road at Schueren is closed; and Saddlepeak east of Schueren Raod is closed. Las Flores Canyon is closed to all traffic, and is being used as a fire road. Only residents with proper ID will be allowed into areas that are not under mandatory evacuation.
All Malibu public schools and Topanga Elementary School are closed. For information on private schools, contact the school. Overnight shelter is available at Malibu High School, located at 30215 Morning View Drive. Shelters in Agoura and Pacific Palisades have been closed. People who need temporary shelter for their horses or other large animals can take them to Pierce College at 6201 Winnetka Ave. Woodland Hills, 91371. Small animals can be taken to the Agoura Animal Shelter at 29525 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills. 818 991.6384
