Pepperdine University men’s volleyball team started their 2018 season off strong with a 3-0 win against Cal Lutheran on Sunday, Jan. 7, at Firestone Fieldhouse.
The set scores were as follows: 25-18, 25-13 and 25-14.
This was David Hunt’s first match as head coach of the team. In a statement on their website, Hunt said, “We’ve been working on implementing a few things offensively. I thought we were able to do that. There were small things here and there that each individual guy was trying to work on, so we saw a lot of small individual success.”
The Waves will host UC Irvine at Firestone Fieldhouse on Sunday, Jan. 14, for their next game.
