Malibu natives Nick Brokaw and Jerry Wolf celebrate the premiere of their short western film “Four Winds” at the Cannes Film Festival.

Malibu-raised Nick Brokaw and Jerry Wolf premiered their short western film “Four Winds” at the Cannes Film Festival last month. The filmmakers grew up together in Corral Canyon and graduated from Malibu High School in 2004. Brokaw and Wolf remained friends through college and subsequently formed a production company to build a career in entertainment.

The film “Four Winds” is an effort five years in the making. It features locals both on screen and behind the scenes, including Emmy Award-winning A Martinez in a co-starring role, a cameo by Carson Higgins and many Malibu High School alumni on the crew. The film was partially shot in the Malibu area.
