UCLA Health recently named Johnese Spisso as its new president, CEO of UCLA Health and associate Chancellor of UCLA Health Sciences. Beginning Feb. 8, Spisso will oversee all UCLA hospital and clinic operations as well as the health system’s regional outreach strategy, according to a press release by the UCLA Health System.
Spisso comes to UCLA with over 30 years of experience. She currently works as chief health system officer for UW medicine at the University of Washington — a program she has been with for over 20 years. During her time with UW medicine, Spisso played a major role in expanding collaborations with regional hospitals and integrating two community hospitals into the UW medicine program.
The Malibu branch of UCLA Health is one of over 150 UCLA Health System offices throughout Southern California that will fall under Spisso’s jurisdiction.
