Massachusetts-based Dunkin’ Donuts is planning to open 45 new restaurants in Southern California, including one in Malibu, in 2015. The restaurant announced that it signed its first Southern California multiunit store development agreements, with four franchise groups to open the new locations last week. Although most of the restaurants are slated for a 2015 opening, the retailer said some “non-traditional” Dunkin’ Donuts locations may open during the next several months in the region.Â
Gary Haar and his partner, Steve Silverstein, will develop 10 Dunkin’ Donuts locations in the West Los Angeles area, including Malibu, Santa Monica and Hollywood, according to a release from the restaurant. Haar is an existing Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins franchisee.Â
Established in 1950, Dunkin’ Donuts carries a variety of coffee and baked goods. It has more than 10,500 restaurants in 30 countries around the world.Â
