Calvary Christian School in Pacific Palisades has named Vincent Downey its new head of school. Downey, who will assume head responsibilities in July, is replacing the current head of school Teresa Roberson, who is retiring after 13 years with the school.

Downey has been in education for 23 years, including 16 working as a head of school or principal. He has been the Head of School of Marywood-Palm Valley School in Rancho Mirage for the past 14 years and prior to that was the Principal of Palm Desert High School for two years.

Vince and his wife, Stacie, both grew up in Orange County and have been married for 23 years. They have three children, two who attend UCLA and one in seventh grade, who will attend Calvary next year.
