Linda Morrison Pieper died Aug. 19. She was 74.
Pieper was born March 9, 1937 to Samuel and Lucille Morrison. She was the granddaughter of Estella Jordan Baddour.
A longtime resident of Los Angeles County, Pieper lived on Sierra Bonita in the Wilshire District of Los Angeles with her family. She attended Wilshire Crest Grammar School, John Burroughs Jr. High and Los Angeles High School.
“Linda was a vivacious woman with amazing zeal for life,” Scott and Cathy Morrison wrote to The Malibu Times. “Her love and care for her family was always paramount. She was a fiercely loving and supportive mother for her three sons, Scott, Chris and Pat.”
Pieper is also remembered for being loyal and generous. She had a large circle of friends, many of whom she had known for more than 50 years.
Pieper enjoyed tennis, traveling, gardening, the beach, entertaining and spending time with her dogs.
“Everyone who knew Linda will agree, Linda loved a great party,” the Morrisons wrote. “Linda and Tom loved traveling with their close friends and enjoyed watching their families grow.”
Pieper and her husband spent summers at their Point Dume home and winters in Indian Wells.
Pieper is survived by her husband, Tom Pieper, her sons Scott, Chris and Pat; her brother Alan Morrison, her sister-in-law Juliet Kiperman, her daughters-in-law Cathy, Deb and Tina; her grandchildren Dakota, Samuel, Moorea and Sydney as well as her step sons Scott, Greg, Todd and their families.
A celebration of life will take place Aug. 26 at the Point Dume Club, 29500 Heathercliff Rd., at 4:30 p.m. The family invites all who knew her to attend and share memories with her extended family and friends.
