The Boone Center for the Family at Pepperdine University presented the 2015 Friends and Family Award to L.A. Dodger broadcaster Vin Scully and his wife Sandra on Nov. 11.
The annual award is given to those who show commitment to family and marriage. It was presented at SavvyChic XII — an event that supports the Boone Center’s mission to promote healthy relationships. Over 300 guests attended the event, including Pepperdine students, faculty, donors and President Andrew K. Benton.
“One thing Sandi and I see everyday is how fortunate we have been to have had our children, to have seen them grow, to have seen them move on to have their children, and to still be here to watch it,” Vin said after accepting the award.
The event also included an eco-couture fashion show, a live auction and guest boutique shopping with 25 percent of all sales benefiting the Boone Center.
