Motorcycle Deputy, Patrol Car Officer Involved in Traffic Collision

A motorcycle deputy was injured Monday morning, Aug. 21, following a traffic collision on Pacific Coast Highway, according to Sgt. Wright of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station. The deputy was responding to a report of a stolen vehicle crime in progress.

Wright also mentioned that an officer in a patrol car was involved in the incident. The motorcycle deputy was transferred to a UCLA hospital. The patrol car officer was also transported to a hospital.

California Highway Patrol officer Leland Tang said the CHP was called in to assist with traffic control following the collision. 

The motorcycle deputy was released from the hospital Tuesday afternoon. The investigation behind what caused the incident is ongoing.
