Friday, June 21, 2019 – Available on all platforms as of today, the song and video for “We Go On (California Strong)” were conceived and created by singer, songwriter and filmmaker Celleste, along with her partner, co-writer and music producer Eric Dick, with a single goal in mind: to raise money to benefit rebuilding efforts across California after the devastating wildfires of the past two years.

In January 2018, Celleste and Eric realized their dream and moved from Montreal to Malibu. While recording Celleste’s new album, their lives were impacted by the Woolsey fire and they were forced to evacuate. They wrote “We Go On, (California Strong)”as a tribute to the strength and courage of all those affected by the fires. The two partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles to create the “WeGoOn” Fund. All proceeds donated to the fund, as well as sales of the song, will benefit Habitat for Humanity’s work across California, with the specific goal of rebuilding homes and communities lost or severely damaged by wildfires and natural disasters.  “We feel blessed to have met so many beautiful and courageous people who have done nothing but shine in the face of adversity” said Celleste.  “Witnessing the strength and resiliency of this community first-hand has been truly inspirational.”

FUNDRAISING EVENT: On Thursday June 27th from 7-10pm, Celleste and Eric will be hosting a fundraising event at the Malibu Screening Room, at 24855 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, Ca, 90265, featuring a screening of “We Go On (California Strong)”, a live performance by Celleste, a silent auction with exclusive items, and many other surprises.  Please join them for a great night of food, local wines, music and fundraising.
