Our paradise has its dramas and traumas, but also much to celebrate. Last Wednesday, May 30, Malibu hosted its fourth Homeless Connect Day at the Civic Center Courthouse. This day provided a safe, structured and festive environment for interaction with our homeless population. The LA County Board of Supervisors office in Calabasas, the City of Malibu government, CART, The People Concern, St. Joseph Center, many agencies and volunteers combined to create an unforgettable and hugely successful day. Malibu, of all communities, is the one where connect days are most warmly supported. It does itself proud.
Thank you, Malibu. We will be back in six months.
