With recent back-to-back wins, star Pepperdine University women’s basketball player Yasmine Robinson-Bacote was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 25.
The honor comes as no surprise: According to Pepperdine Athletics, the senior shoots an average of 20.4 points per game—the highest average among her conference peers.
Robinson-Bacote made at least 27.5 points on average and 10 rebounds per home game. Per an online statement from Pepperdine, this contributed to the best home record (9-1) in university history.
The Waves now take to the road for their last games of the season; they are set to play against Gonzaga on Thursday, Feb. 28, and Portland on Saturday.
