The Malibu High varsity girls’ soccer team is close to winning their first league championship in school history and is currently in first place with an undefeated league season record of 8-0.

The Sharks played a home game Tuesday against second place Santa Paula, and will be advancing to the CIF playoffs. They are currently ranked eighth in the Division VI Soccer Coaches’ Poll for all of the CIF Southern Section. Check next week’s issue of The Malibu Times for coverage of the Sharks’ last game and continued updates on the upcoming CIF playoffs.
