Authors Pablo Capra and Jamie Budge teamed up at Bank of Books to sign copies of their surf books.
Capra signed the book he co-authored, “Topanga Beach Experience 1960s-70s,” and Budge signed “Basic Surfing” and also showed his surfing DVDs, “The Californians” and “The Living Curl.” Capra’s book offers a look into the lifestyle of Topanga Beach in the ’60s and ’70s, which has been described as a surfer’s paradise. “Basic Surfing,” which was originally written as a textbook for the first surfing class at Pepperdine University, is Budge’s explanation of how to short and longboard.
