Sisters Carmen Ramos Koros and Bianca Ramos Torrence spoke at the weekly Malibu Rotary Club meeting about the Rosa Octavila Ramos Foundation — a foundation the sisters formed to honor their late mother. The foundation helps children in Churchampa, a village in the mountains of Peru where Rosa taught school, by providing assistance in the form of basic necessities, including food, shelter and medical support.
The foundation supports about 300 children. One major objective is to provide each child with one nutritious meal per day.
