Frances Patricia “Pat” Mudie passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on June 4 due to issues related to organ failure and diabetes.
“Her death came as a tragic shock to family and friends who loved her dearly,” a loved one shared.
Mudie moved to Malibu with her first husband Sam in 1973 and, despite divorcing in 1974, remained in Malibu while attending law school at USC. She attained her law degree in 1975 and went on to a successful family law practice in Los Angeles.
Mudie is survived by her husband Robert Linde of Baltimore; daughter, Heather Gail Mudie Olivier, 49; son Jason Hunter Mudie, 47; grandsons John Cole and Drake Olivier — all of Santa Monica. Mudie also has many extended members in New Jersey, Philadelphia and South Carolina.
Donations may be made on her behalf to the Angeles National Forest Service, as she loved hiking in the local mountains.
