Letter: Nothin’ From Nothin’

Letter to the Editor

The sheriff is saying we will see diminished services due to budget cuts. How are we supposed to notice when we have been ignored for years? Especially in the unincorporated areas. The only times they are visible are when they are getting extra funding. If we are not getting services then why are we paying for them? He is promising to show up the one time we don’t want them around… The next major fire. They showed their incompetence during the Woolsey Fire. They caused major gridlock and then cut off resupply to the real heros who stayed behind to save their and their neighbors’ homes. Remember… Leave your house, lose your house. They have proven that we can’t rely on the government in times of crisis, so let’s cut their funding further.
