Car rollover causes major PCH delay in eastern Malibu

[3:45 p.m. update]: Both sides of Pacific Coast Highway have been fully reopened following a single-car rollover in front of Moonshadows Restaurant in eastern Malibu, according to Sgt. Corcoran of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.


A woman suffered minor injuries when her car rolled over in front of Moonshadows Restaurant on Pacific Coast Highway in eastern Malibu on Monday afternoon, according to Sgt. Johnson of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.

The crash, reported around 2:35 p.m., is causing heavy delays and it forced authorities to shut down one lane in each direction of PCH, he said, until the scene is cleared. The car landed in the number 2 westbound lane of PCH.

“I’m not sure how she did it,” he said.

The female driver was traveling alone and was treated at the scene for her injuries.
