Heat waves are setting all-time temperature records across the globe, again. 

Japan hit 106 degrees on Monday, its hottest temperature ever.

Records fell in parts from Massachusetts to Oregon.

Norway, Sweden and Finland all saw temperatures they have never seen before on any date, pushing past 90 degrees. 

It’s all part of summer — but it’s all being made worse by human-caused climate change, scientists say.

In the KBUU wildfire watch …  

The Carr fire,at Redding is 23% contained as of Monday evening. The fire has destroyed more than 1,000 structures and claimed six lives

Two fires in Mendocino County — north of San Francsco — also continued to grow Monday. Combined, they covered more than 68,000 acres.

The massive Ferguson fire has claimed two firefighter deaths and forced closure of Yosemite Valley. It’s growing … up to 57,000 acres, and remains 30% contained.

Near Palm Springs …  the Cranston fire at Idyllwild is 82% contained.

Closest to Malibu … a brush fire erupted in Santa Clarita yesterday afternoon.

It crossed  10 acres ands damaged 13 units in two residential complexes when embers traveled through the vents during the firefigh

It is 85% contained and forward progress has been stopped.

((((  Out of the south southwest.  ))))
