The Malibu High School girls varsity basketball team last week beat The Thatcher School, 50-34, in a game at Thatcher.
The Sharks’ All-League guard, Danielle Bush, scored 29 points, while freshman Helena Vazelakis scored nine.
“They are becoming a cohesive team now,” Andy Meyer, the Sharks’ head coach, said in a press release. “I suspect we’ll do alright as the season progresses.”
The Sharks will travel to Catalina over the holidays to participate in the Avalon Annual girls’ high school tournament.
