Crime Report

The following crimes were reported in Malibu between July 15-21: 

7/15 

Looted laptop

-A backpack with a laptop and headphones was stolen around 11:30 p.m. from Café Habana, totaling over $1,130. The victim had left the backpack on a table unattended. Security cameras at the restaurant may have footage and recordings were provided to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriffs station.

7/16 

Vehicle burglary

-A wallet was stolen out of a vehicle on Zumirez Drive after the passenger window was smashed. The vehicle did not have an alarm system and no surveillance was found in the area.

7/18 

Car charger crime

-A car parked on Zumirez Drive was burglarized when a suspect broke the passenger window and stole a car charger. The vehicle was ransacked but no other items seemed to be missing.

7/19 

Stolen supplies

-Over $1,500 worth of tools and equipment were stolen from a tool shed behind a victim’s house on Harvester Road. The victim believes the suspects are the same burglars from a previous incident on the property.

7/21 

Pilfered pellets

-Two pellet guns were stolen from a vehicle that was burglarized overnight on Latigo Canyon Road. The rear passenger window of the vehicle was smashed and a small screwdriver was recovered on scene. No surveillance was recovered from the area.
