Homeless Shuttle

A free shuttle running daily from Zuma Beach and the Malibu Community Labor Exchange is available for members of the local homeless community interested in spending the night in a shelter in West Los Angeles.

The shuttle picks up daily at 4 p.m. from the Zuma Beach entrance at PCH and Busch Drive and 4:30 p.m. from the Civic Center parking lot near the Labor exchange, and delivers passengers to a shelter located at 1300 Federal Avenue in West LA. Dinner and breakfast are included, and shuttle riders return to the Civic Center at 6 a.m. and Zuma Beach at 6:30 a.m. the following morning.

Each passenger may bring one suitcase or bag, and though pets aren’t allowed, those interested may ask an LA County Sheriff for assistance or call Sherman’s Place in Malibu at 310.457.5501.

The shuttle, funded by LA County, will operate over the winter months.
