The Malibu Middle School Associated Student Body on Jan. 12 raised and donated $1,000 to Partners in Health, an organization providing medical supplies for the survivors of the Haiti earthquake.
As it continues its fundraising efforts, the ASB is advocating that all schools throughout the nation encourage their student councils to hold fundraisers or to donate from their existing operational budgets. The ASB is asking other schools to come as close as possible to matching or surpassing the amount Malibu Middle School has donated.
The ASB will also donate proceeds from Malibu Middle School’s Valentine’s Dance on Feb. 12 to Haiti relief efforts.
