Longtime Malibu resident Jacquelyn Tachetter Cassini died Jan. 6 at Santa Monica Hospital.
Originally from Colorado, Cassini began her career in the field of nursing. She soon moved to San Francisco to work as a stewardess for Pan American Airlines, which allowed her to travel the globe. Cassini also modeled for Elizabeth Arden and worked as the social director for the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the San Francisco Bay area.
Cassini moved to Malibu in 1962 and had lived on the beach ever since. She enjoyed walking on the beach and at Pepperdine University, and was known for making friends easily wherever she went. Among her other passions, Cassini enjoyed going on cruises all over the world.
“Her beauty, generosity and independent spirit will be missed by her family and friends on the beach,” Cassini’s family wrote.
Cassini is survived by Dario Cassini, her daughter Kathy, and grandchildren Ryan and Olivia.
