LA County Residents and Businesses Can Apply for Federal Disaster Assistance

As of last Tuesday, Jan. 23, Los Angeles County homeowners, renters and business owners who experienced “damages or losses” from the Creek, Rye and Skirball fires are eligible for state and federal disaster assistance programs through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) and the U.S. Small Business Administration. 

According to a statement released by LA County, individuals can register for disaster relief by visiting disasterassitance.gov or calling 800.621.3362 (or 800.462.7585). 

The assistance will include “state and FEMA grants, and low-interest loans from SBA.”
