Surfers shared the waves on Earth Day with Malibu's biggest local. 

Cool weather is predicted this weekend in Malibu, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

High temperatures will reach around 64 degrees on Saturday, with a mostly sunny day, including wind gusts that could reach up to 20 mph. Saturday night’s low temperature will drop down to around 54 degrees.

Sunny skies are in the forecast on Sunday, and temperatures should reach approximately 66 degrees during the day, with a mostly clear Sunday evening low around 58 degrees.

Friday, April 24 – Sunday, April 26

Malibu High School student actors perform the comedy-rock musical “Little Shop of Horrors” at the school’s annual Spring Musical Production. Performances are scheduled throughout the weekend at the Malibu High School Theater and tickets are available online

Saturday, April 25

Listens to folk music and Americana sounds by Grammy award-winners “The Okee Dokee Brothers” at Pepperdine’s Smothers Theatre at 11 a.m. Tickets range from $12-$15 and are available online.

At 1 p.m., the Malibu Library will host a free safety workshop to help children and parents learn to be more aware of their surroundings and increase personal safety. Registration for the event is encouraged by calling 310.456.6438.

Bank of Books will host story time with Miss Grace at 10:30 a.m., a 2 p.m. signing of Helen Henderson’s new book, “The Malibu Farm Cookbook“, and Coffeehouse music night at 6 p.m. 

Sunday, April 26

Enjoy a day of family fun and support the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Fund at the annual Pier Party at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Artist Tova Wintner Fagan and mother Sarah Levy will instruct a mother-daughter painting class at Room at the Beach at 11:30 a.m.

Plant native plants, learn native Chumash traditions and celebrate Earth Day at Wishtoyo Chumash Discovery Village at 3 p.m. RSVP here for the free event.

Bring your favorite hat and share a variety of teas, sandwiches, and cookies at the Malibu Senior Center’s Tea Time at 3 p.m.
