After more than 40 years of Malibu residency, Barbie’s moving out of town and putting her dreamhouse on the market for $25 million, Mattel announced this week.
The fictitious real estate move marks the beginning of a new ad campaign for Barbie, who first shacked up in her three-story, three-wall Malibu dreamhouse in 1971. For the next year, she’ll search worldwide for a new dream residence, according to Mattel. Her Malibu house measures 8,500 square feet with one bedroom and one bathroom.
