One person suffered minor injuries in a two-car collision on Pacific Coast Highway just east of Las Flores Canyon Road on Thursday around 5 p.m. The accident narrowed traffic on each side of the road to one lane as the scene was cleared.
The crash occurred when the female driver of a red sedan parked on the westbound shoulder of PCH attempted to make a U-turn out of her parking spot, according to Deputy Donte Scarbrough of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Department. A male driver traveling westbound in a beige sedan attempted to swerve and avoid the red car but clipped the vehicle.
Both cars ended up near the median lane on PCH.Â
The female suffered undisclosed injuries and was transported to a local hospital. She is expected to be OK. The male driver complained of a wrist injury but was not taken to the hospital, Scarbrough said. Â
