The driver of the 2013 Tesla that crashed into Malibu Canyon June 21 has been identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Timothy Andrew Devine, 52, fatally went over the side of Malibu Canyon Road south of the tunnel in his Tesla and fell approximately 500 feet. The fire caused by the crash engulfed the vehicle and the occupant and burned approximately three acres.
Devine was a resident of Woodland Hills.
The Coroner’s Office, which examined the body on June 24, has ruled the incident an accident and the cause of death as multiple blunt force trauma.
