I am writing this letter in support of Kathy Wisnicki for City Council. I have known Kathy for over 10 years, and want to tell you about her so that you will be as confident as I am that she is the best choice to be our city councilmember. Kathy is an extraordinary woman and will be an extraordinary councilmember. She works extremely hard, thinks before acting, actually listens to people, and wants to hear all the facts and differing opinions before she makes her informed and thoughtful decisions. She is an optimist who loves our city and wants to protect our wonderful way of life here in Malibu. She is raising her family here and is invested in our city and its residents.
Kathy is an innovator who is able to find creative solutions to problems. As our elected representative on our school board, she has made our district greener by buying natural gas buses and recyclable soy-based lunch trays. Kathy negotiated very favorable settlements that have saved the taxpayers a lot of money and expensive litigation and has fought tirelessly for all Malibu students.
This is an important election for Malibu. I want someone in that council chair who has experience working with others in a positive way, who has overseen complicated budgets and collaborated with other elected officials and government bodies, and who is a problem solver. Kathy is that person.
Far from silent, Kathy knows how to work behind the scenes to actually help with the problem at hand, like arranging for donations and tax relief for fire victims. I am proud to endorse her and proud that she has run a positive and dynamic campaign because that’s the kind of councilmember she will be. Please join me in supporting Kathy Wisnicki for City Council.
