Malibu resident Dominique Navarro won an Emmy award for her work as an art director at the 35th annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards. The ceremony took place in New York at the Jazz at the Lincoln Center on Sept. 30. Navarro and her colleagues won the Emmy in the outstanding graphic design & art direction category for their work on “Big History,” a History Channel H2 television series. Hosted by Bryan Cranston, the series examines a one topic, covering anything from salt to horses to gold to coffee and its influence on civilization and technology.
