Why are so many people in our blessed burg so quick to criticize instead of thank people who go out of their way to serve the community?
I am saddened by the negativity expressed in last week’s article toward Malibu Urgent Care because they had to refer someone who was bitten by a snake to a nearby hospital for intensive care.
I literally owe my life to the wise and exceptional treatment I have received there. Not only did Dr. David Frankle find a life-threatening needle in a haystack (endocarditis, a rare infection of the heart) when I presented with very minor symptoms, but he was unimaginably kind and concerned and went way beyond the call with careful follow-up. It is my greatest wish that everyone in the world could receive such stupendous, timely and compassionate medical help (or even close) when it is needed. Dr. Furgurson lived up to the same incredible standards and intervened swiftly and reassuringly when I needed cardiac care again!
Although I am extremely thankful for the privilege of living in the beauty that is Malibu, there is nothing I am more grateful for than Malibu Urgent Care, which deserves way more love and support from this community.
Please appreciate it. Why disparage so unthinkingly?
