A 33-year-old male climber was successfully rescued from a sheer cliffside in Escondido Falls on Saturday, July 18. Malibu Search and Rescue (SAR), together with Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s Air Rescue 5 helicopter, performed the rescue.
The climber was not injured.
This was one of three rescues to take place in Malibu in the span of 24 hours this weekend, and one of 72 to take place since January 1 of this year.
