Female inmate crews with Malibu Conservation Camp 13 complete brushing work on the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area’s Backbone Trail from Mishe Mokwa (east of Yerba Buena Road). According to Ranger Kate Kuykendall, tread repair along the trail—from Encinal to Mulholland—will begin once fire danger lessens.
