Surfing to disaster

Yet another black eye for Malibu with the potentially deadly display of juvenile behavior by several Malibu children “street surfing.” That is a ridiculous name. It should be called “reckless driving and buffoon behavior on your way to a mortuary.” It’s a slap in the face to parents who have lost children on our highway. The parents of those two teens who displayed such disrespectful behavior should be begging for Malibu’s forgiveness and making their children publicly apologize in light of the recent deaths on PCH.

Kudos to ASPCH for bringing together passionate moms who mobilized their families, loved ones and the community in the name of Emily Shane. Join them and others in weekly meetings to never forget the loss of our precious children. You can help, too. Bring your gripes and suggestions to Malibu’s own Public Safety Commission meetings the first Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. in City Council chambers. Together we can make Malibu safer and stop the carnage on PCH.
