The Adamson House, one of Malibu’s national historic sites and California historic landmark, is undergoing restoration with the $247,500 from the state’s allocated state park repair budget. Craig Sap, district superintendent of the California State Parks Angeles District, confirmed in an email that paint analysis revealed that the lath house—the greenhouse-like structure on the house’s grounds—had originally been painted an aqua green color. Sap authorized the contractor to return the house to its original color. The project is expected to hit completion in early October.

As reported by The Malibu Times in early August, the budget was to go toward improving the aging house from years of water intrusion and erosion. No physical work had been done to the house until now.
