I am amazed that the county could let go of such a valuable employee! Having worked for the county, 1994-1997, in the Malibu Library, I was trained by Kathy Sullivan. We worked many an evening together checking books in and out, preparing new books for the shelves and assisting library patrons.
I’m sure Kathy helped train many other new people. For her to be treated this way, after so many years of service, is unconscionable.
With her knowledge of how a library functions she should be given an award not a suspension.
