The Pepperdine tennis doubles team of Pedro Iamachkine and Lautaro Pane finished as runners-up at last weekend’s USTA/ITA Divison I Men’s Southwest Regional Championships.
The Waves hosted the tournament from Oct. 15-19, which featured 128 singles competitors and 64 doubles teams from the area’s top Division I programs.
Freshman Gabriel Sidney led the Waves in the singles competition, making it to the quarterfinal round before falling to UC San Diego’s Filip Vittek.
Next up, the Waves will compete at the SoCal Intercollegiate Championships on Oct. 28-31.
