Mother of The Year, Rosie Award nominations
Mother’s Day is May 10, and The Malibu Times is celebrating with the second annual “Mother of the Year, Rosie Award” in honor of publisher Arnold York’s late mother, Rosie York.
To choose a mother of the year, we are asking readers to submit a short essay of 250 words or less telling us why their mother (or step-mom, foster mom or similar person in their life) should receive the Mother of the Year Rosie Award.
A Mother of the Year is a large title to give one person, but many mothers all around the world are deserving of such a title for their unselfish caring and giving of themselves to not only their children, but to their families as a whole and others who orbit their lives.
We’ve gathered a few wonderful treats to give to the mother to be chosen for the Rosie Award this year, including two bottles of wine from Semler Wines and Malibu Family Wines, an organic facial by Essence Organic, a manicure for mom from The Nail Box, a mini-makeover from Malibu Oasis Salon, and an evening at the movies and dinner for two at Beau Rivage Restaurant, compliment of The Malibu Times.
