This critters was spotted crawling around Topanga Canyon last week, trying to keep cool as the temperature ticked higher and higher. The adult ten-lined june beetle (Polyphylla decemlineata) was found hanging out on a screen door. The beetle is attracted to lights at night during the summer evenings in Southern California.
