As part of a tour promoting his book, “As You Wish,” Malibu local and actor Cary Elwes is hosting a book-signing and screening of “The Princess Bride” on Saturday at Pepperdine University.
Elwes’ book offers a look into the making of the iconic 1987 comedy, along with commentary from actors and others involved in the making of the movie. It also includes a foreword by director Rob Reiner.
Elwes played the role of Westley in a cast filled with many other stars such as Billy Crystal, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin and Andre the Giant.Â
Saturday’s event is free and scheduled for 7 p.m. in Pepperdine’s Elkins Theater.Â
